We are so excited to welcome the newest member of The MVMT, The Vics! They’re an indie rock band from California, PA. Their very first full length album dropped on May 12th and it’s full of infectious guitar layers that will make you want to blast through your car speakers. My personal favorite is Green Tea Letters. It had me captivated within seconds with airy light riffs and the way the lyrics naturally bounce off of them. Juveniles brings an edgier song from the band but they still manage to stay true to their mix of indie blues material. The Vics can often be found at a local venue around the Pittsburgh area. They have played at The Hard Rock Cafe, The Rex Theatre, Mar. Small’s Theatre, and even some festivals such as the first ever Millvale Music Festival. The band even won the Washington Symphony Orchestra’s Battle of the Bands in 2016.

The Vics are made up of Bobby Dugan on vocals and guitar, Ben Auer on guitar, and Henri Seabright on Drums. Let’s take a look behind the scenes.

Give us your introduction and origin story, please! Include links to your social media, site, etc.

All of our members attend California University of Pennsylvania for Commercial Music Technology. We put out a four song EP in the summer of 2016, and we just released our first full length, self titled album.

What do you love most about your indie music/creative career?

Being able to create our own music and not trusting our instincts as far as writing goes is the best.

What are some of your struggles as an indie musician/creative, and how do you hope the IMBM can help you?

Sometimes it's hard to get everyone available for shows but we always end up working it out.

Any advice for up-and-comers who want to do what you do?

Trust yourself and the music.

What is your indie music/creative career’s Definition of Success, in spirit of the IMBM?

Having fans that come out specifically to see us, and not just our parents, people we don't know.

Make sure to follow them on on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter.

Give them a listen on Spotify, iTunes, Bandcamp, and Soundcloud.
